You’ve a yearning for some exquisite Japanese food but don’t know how to find the best restaurants from Prague’s seemingly inexhaustible offer? We’ve sampled and selected the very best for you…
MADE IN JAPAN SUSHI BAR & RESTAURANT
This modern Japanese restaurant with a sushi bar in the very centre of Prague features an open kitchen which lets you observe the cooks at work. We recommend the new Love Sashimi dish – a slice of raw fish filled with sushi rice and Japanese mayonnaise, cucumber and orange tobiko (flying fish roe).

SAMURAI JAPANESE RESTAURANT
Presently Prague’s largest and undoubtedly most luxurious sushi restaurant. You will be entrusted to the care of a team of experienced Asian cooks under the baton of a Japanese chef. Try their special offer – Teppanyaki All You Can Eat, every Tuesday and Thursday (CZK 800).
Samurai Japanese restaurant, Londýnská 73/379, Prague 2, phone: +420 222 515 330, 774 422 217, www.topsushi.cz
Opened in 1995, this is the oldest Japanese restaurant in Prague. Both traditional and innovative sushi and a range of hot dishes are prepared under the guidance of chef Tadayoshi Ebina, a member of Tokyo Sushi Association. Savour the Puraha Nigiri Sushi – tuna in black beer embellished with horseradish.
THE SUSHI BAR
In 2012 this bar came first in the Japanese TOP 10 in Maurer’s Grand Restaurant selection. It prides itself on superb fresh natural ingredients and seafood masterfully prepared according to genuine sushi rules.
KITCHEN THE ADDRESS
Newly opened in downtown Prague, it has delectable Ramen noodles on the menu. As the restaurant is still in its operational trial phase the menu is so far limited to a few dishes, But they are well worth it. We recommend the Wakame seaweed salad or the Shoyu Ramen.
CHINA FUSION MILLHOUSE SUSHI
In this quiet venue you can enjoy Cantonese cuisine as well as a rich selection of sushi delicacies. A range of Japanese drinks is also on offer complemented with French and Chilean wines. There’s an All You Can Eat offer costing CZK 680 (one person / two hours at the bar).
